We run FSRS, the open-source scheduler, exactly as published, and we show you every number it produces: stability, difficulty, interval, next review date and mastery score. A card you know well hides itself until it is genuinely due, so an early peek cannot corrupt your own data. You can build your own scheduler, choosing when a card counts as known and how known cards are hidden, use it per deck, and publish it for other people to use. On top of that: 8 quiz game modes, AI generation where you pick the model and see the credit cost before it runs, deck version control where an author's update arrives as a diff you accept or decline while your own scheduling survives, and group study.

The Strict Scheduler is the default: once a card reaches 40% mastery it blurs until it is genuinely due. You can switch to the Non-Strict Scheduler and unlock every card at any time, you just give up leaderboard eligibility so the rankings stay comparable between people playing by the same rules.

Every AI action shows its estimated credit cost before it runs, and more capable models cost more. Free gets 5,300 credits a week, Pro 360,000, Premium 1,800,000. Weekly credits reset; credits you buy never expire. During beta you get Pro-level credits at no cost.

Yes. CSV import handles 500 cards at once on Free, 2,500 on Pro, 10,000 on Premium, and you map your columns onto Mentis fields (front, back, plus 10 custom fields). You can also upload a PDF (5MB Free, 20MB Pro, 50MB Premium) or paste up to 20,000 characters and let AI build the cards. Export to CSV on any plan, JSON on Pro and up.

Match Master (connect pairs), Word Bank (fill blanks from a bank, with AI distractors), Multiple Choice (AI-generated distractors), Fill the Gap (progressive hints), Speed Truth (5-second true/false), Type Master (type the full answer, typo tolerant), Memory Matrix (see cards briefly, then match from memory), and Typing Practice (answer in your own words, AI grades meaning). Yes to both. Mentis is GDPR compliant, private decks stay private unless you publish them, and we never sell your data. You can export everything at any time and permanently delete your account whenever you want.
